3rd T20 India vs New Zealand

3rd T20 India vs New Zealand, Dominant India demolishes New Zealand to Seal the Series 2-1

After a disappointing performance in the ODI series, the New Zealand team looked quite competitive in the T20I series. They were able to put a small total on the board in the 2nd T20, but still, India had to stretch their muscles to win the match in the last over, and take the series to a decider. India decided to bowl first in this crucial game after winning the toss. They lost the wicket of Ishan Kishan in the 2nd over, but never looked back after that. Shubman Gill again showed his amazing skills with the bat and smashed New Zealand bowlers all over the park. Gill and Tripathi brought 80 runs stand together, putting India in a strong position to set a good total. Tripathi made 44 (22), and after his wicket Suryakumar Yadav joined Gill at the crease.

Suryakumar Yadav looked dangerous as always with his unorthodox style of batting but only managed to score 24 (13). Hardik Pandya joined Gill in the 13th over, and both played devastating shots to keep India on track to put up a huge total. Hardik made 30 of just 17 balls, and Shubman Gill remained not out with a fantastic knock of 126 runs on just 63 balls. He scored 12 fours and 7 sixes in his innings. In 3rd T20 India vs New Zealand, the Indian team scored 13 sixes in their innings and put up a target of 235 for the New Zealand team. While chasing this mammoth total, New Zealand needed a good start, but they started losing early wickets. New Zealand was 21/5 in just 5th over of their power play.

The Indian pace attack proved deadly for the New Zealand batters, as no one could really challenge them. After losing quick 5 wickets, New Zealand almost lost hope to win this crucial game. Daryl Mitchell was the only batsman who showed some fight against the Indian bowling attack, and no other batsman could do anything. This disappointing batting performance restricted New Zealand to 66 all-out in the 13th over. Hardik took 4 wickets, while Arshdeep and Umran Malik sent 2 players each back to the New Zealand dressing room. Shubman Gill was declared Player of the Match for his brilliant 100, and Hardik Pandya was selected as Player of the series for his all-round performance, as well as, for showing his great captaincy skills, leading India to another T20I series win.
